Three subject matter experts with diverse interdisciplinary backgrounds and decades of collective experience working at ground-zero for climate change impacts will share their latest insights and success stories from their respective communities of Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and Miami. Presenters will highlight state policies, grant funding programs, and planning strategies that have supported advances in coastal resilience. The presenters will weave a common thread of intentional adaptation that connects and supports the collective efforts across the State of Florida.

Meet Our Speakers:
Anne Coglianese
City of Jacksonville
Anne Coglianese is the Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Jacksonville, FL. In this capacity, Anne leads the development of resilience initiatives to ensure Jacksonville can adapt and thrive in the face of acute shocks and chronic stresses brought on by climate change. Anne’s previous experience also includes serving at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where she participated in the development of climate adaptation and resilience policies to meet the Obama Administration’s resilience goals.
Brian Cook, PLA
Applied Sciences
Brian Cook is a landscape architect with 20 years of experience as a consultant and educator. He has worked on public and private projects throughout the United States, including community and campus design, municipal buildings, streets and public spaces. In addition to project design, Brian’s recent work has recently been focused on coastal resiliency, sea-level rise, and methods for incorporating landscape systems in urban development.
Christian Kamrath, CFM
Miami-Dade County
Christian Kamrath serves as the Resilience Program Manager of the Adaptation Team for Miami-Dade County’s Office Resilience where he leads interdisciplinary work on sea level rise and flooding policy, risk assessments and community-based adaptation planning. He is responsible for the continued implementation of the County’s first Sea Level Rise Strategy (2021).
